In The Success Of The Entire Reception!

We understand that for most people, choosing a DJ is often difficult and confusing, yet the most important decision you will make for your wedding reception.  Since everyone claims to be "the best", how can you really find out who is good, and who is amateur?  For a once in a lifetime event like a wedding reception, you best start with a professional.  Don't take chances with "a friend of a friend".  Although people mean well, lack of experience or skill will not prepare them to handle unexpected details.

 

First I recommend you start with a wedding specialist.  A DJ from a club or school dance may be great, but they're not necessarily right for your wedding.

 

Second, meet with the DJ Company.  This is not a decision that can be made over the phone.  You must be sure you are comfortable with the DJ's style and see if it is a good match for you. After all, they will be representing you at your wedding reception.

 

Then, check the history and background of the DJ Company.  Do they have references?  And don't just take their word for it, call several of their references and find out WHY the client loved their DJ.

 

Don't make the mistake of choosing a DJ by price alone.  If the DJ is not a good fit, but the right price, it won't matter a bit if he ruins your special day that you spent big money and many months planning.

ABOUT MATTHEW STRONG 

 

Matthew Strong - Sacramento Disc JockeysMatthew Allen Weddings & Events in Sacramento is owned and operated FULL-TIME by DJ/Wedding Master Matthew Strong. Matt  is the area’s leading expert in the field of weddings and entertainment.  His passion for weddings and entertainment started at age 5 when he would assist bands at family events.  His DJ career began in the fall of 1993, as a teenager.

 

By age 18 he had become an experienced events coordinator for Calaveras County where he organized events, assemblies and field trips for "at risk" youth. Throughout the 90's, Matt actively honed his DJ skills by performing for schools, weddings, corporate and private party events. By 2000 he not only became a sought after DJ, he also became a respected wedding events coordinator dealing with all aspects of pre-event planning, time management, photography, videography, floral design and placement. Throughout this time he specialized in custom-tailoring each event to the specific needs of the customer.

In 2005, Matt officially launched Matthew Allen Weddings & Events. (Formally Sacramento Reno Tahoe DJs) This full time inclusion is a culmination of event planning, coordination, Disc Jockey and Master of Ceremony involvement that has gained strong affirmation from satisfied customers for more than 15 years.

 

In addition to his day-to-day activities with his full-time company, Matt has remained very active as a leader within the disc jockey and wedding industries. He currently serves as the President of the Reno / Lake Tahoe Chapter of The American Disc Jockey Association and on the Board of Toastmaster International's Klassy Talkers in Sacramento.

He is a student of advanced level training in both industries and actively participates in numerous trade conferences throughout the year. He is a graduate of the Marbecca Method Workshops, presents seminars for DJ on methods to improve their customer service qualities and also writes articles for several wedding publications.
